The receiver of 2012 Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award in Sustainable Design, young designer Titania Inglis staged her F/W2013 collection during MADE Fashion Week Presentations at The Standard. Titania’s minimalist aesthetic and environmental approach resulted in a well-balanced collection of wearable looks with a futuristic vibe. There were lots of must-have items including a sumptuous fur cape, leather skirt with uneven hem, and a striking reindeer jacket paired with a two-tone floor-length dress. With every garment sewn at a small factory in New York using sustainably sourced fabrics, the designer is making a statement in support of NY’s Garment Center and proving a point that sustainable doesn’t mean boring, but an alternative way of thinking.
