New York based label A Détacher presented a punchy fall/winter runway presentation at Chelsea Piers’ Studio 59. Models were outfitted in top-heavy silhouettes of rich jewel toned reds, rust, yellow, purple, and blues. Dropped waists, boxy sleeves, and rounded collars created sleek shapes, while bold racings stripes broke up otherwise subdued patterns. Classic camel plaid was offset by a graphic cloud and lighting bold patterns, adding a kick of kitsch. Interesting depth was created by stacking shorts over pants, and patterns were employed on sheer layers with contrasting prints. Hair styled with frizzy volume was topped with embellished beanies and knitted headbands for warmth.
