A stark white stage provided a dramatic backdrop to a presentation of Sir New York’s “Black and Gold” collection. Unsurprisingly, the menswear collection is almost entirely black and gold, with a few white accents. The collection was displayed by a stunning line-up of models, including Louis Mayhew and world-famous Shaun Ross. Exposed zippers and a gold paint-drip pattern were prevalent throughout, as well as black mesh detailing that was used for pockets and sleeves.
I thought collection really shined in a few key pieces, namely the beautifully tailored coats and a sleek hooded jumpsuit accented with gold zippers. Sharp lines and exaggerated collars created dynamic, streamlined profiles. Along with war paint and sunglasses, a couple models sported black SIR beanies that I really loved - they made for a nice casual contrast to some of the more severe looks, and are really on point with current street style. The event was presented by designer shoe brand Android Homme, who provided black leather boots and sneakers to match the looks. Gourmet drinks and shots were provided by Corzo, which seemed like the perfect finishing touch to a trendy party showcasing a great collection.
