In his fifth collection to date Mathieu Mirano presented an elegant, yet subdued vision for fall. The collection was more commercial than usual, with very few exquisitely extravagant touches Mirano has already became known for. Leather, fur and sequins took the main stage as the materials of choice. Cigarette pants in smooth leather and fine wool, goddess-like sculptured dresses, shiny power suits, luxurious white and silver fox furs and asymmetrically cut motorcycle jackets. With zippers being a huge trend this season, only Mirano made them look so effortless and chic. Accessorized with elegant long leather gloves, mini dresses and skirts kept the collection youthful, while sequined dresses and bustier tops in silver and lilac were a refreshing addition to a predominantly monochromatic palette. The collection was more about structure than femininity this season, old-world glamour, but with a modern twist.
