Television star-turned-designer Daisy Fuentes celebrated her 10-year anniversary with American mega chain Kohls, marking the 10th year of her collection on their shelves. Her newest Spring/Summer looks hit the runway at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, debuting a surprisingly luxe collection that provided looking fashionable is indeed possible on a Kohl’s budget. The flirty, flattering line included beach-ready layers of crop tops, fitted shorts, jumpsuits and draped pants. Models were styled with boho waves by Jorge Luis for Prive, some rocking turban-like head wraps along with Fuentes’ jewelry and sunglasses.
The Malibu-inspired collection had an oceanside-appropriate color palette of crisp whites against blues, greens, browns, reds, and black. Prints were inspired by Spanish tile and the sparkling aqua and turquoise of waves. The upbeat runway presentation featured a whopping 40 looks - all in current, flattering cuts and fits. The choices in fabric made garments appear like they would be sold at a much higher price point, and made me genuinely excited for the collection to hit store shelves.
