Some of fashion’s most iconic names graced the front row for Carolina Herrera’s full-house runway presentation at the Lincoln Center. Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and Bill Cunningham all looked on as models cascaded out in floaty dresses and cropped, boxy jackets. Black and white looks were accompanied by mossy green and rusty orange looks, topped with high-glitz embellishments and accessories. Gauzy layers, cape-like hems, and thin striped graphics created lots of movement and flow.
Standout looks included a brown dress with an exaggerated waistline and striped skirt, along with a three-quarter-sleeve, collared black dress with a full skirt in varying gradients of opacity, showing peeks of the bright peach fabric beneath. Honeycomb detailing and structured shoulders added a bit of interest to grown-up looks. The fashion veteran presented a Spring/Summer collection with lots of movement and her usual sophistication - a little sparkle, a few classic prints, and lots of floaty fabric.
