As a former J. Mendel designer and Design Director of Oscar de la Renta, Brandon Sun is someone who knows a little something about fur. The Parsons grad teamed up with Blackglama and Swarovski to present his third ready-to-wear collection, entitled “East of the Sun and West of the Moon.” The adventure-themed Fall/Winter looks were inspired by the Norwegian fairy tale of the same name, and its art nouveau illustrations by artist Kay Nielsen.

Tunic dresses, floral jacquard and peekaboo shapes were played out in black, white, and grey. Luxurious mink and chinchilla furs from Blackglama appeared as not only capes and jackets, but on skirts and as pom-poms. Metal embroidery and shiny fabrics alongside the numerous Swarovski embellishments made for a collection with a heavy dose of sparkle.
